PURPOSE: A method for extracting user information in a wireless LAN system is provided to offer a differentiated service based on each user's characteristic by extracting user information through a wireless LAN access program and transmitting it to a wireless LAN system. CONSTITUTION: If the user of a wireless LAN terminal drives an access program in order to use a wireless LAN service(S201), the access program accesses an AP(Access Point)(S202). At this moment, the access program confirms the location information of the user using the MAC(Media Access Control) information of the AP. Then the AP executes an authentication procedure from an authentication server(S203). If the access program is connected with the AP(S204), the access program searches for the user's favorites service information(S205) and transmits the searched user information to a location management server(S206). The location management server classifies the received user information and provides the classified information to a service provider in order to offer a differentiated service to the user(S206).
