摘要

PURPOSE: A printing device equipped with a series model supporting firmware including a model indexing function and a method for supporting series models are provided to generally support multiple similar models with one firmware by adding the model indexing function/instruction to the firmware without separately making the firmware for each model. CONSTITUTION: A firmware part supports diverse models by appointing a model index, as the model index function is added. The firmware part includes a storing part stored model index information, a model index processor reading the appointed model index information from the storing part by receiving a model index appointing instruction, and a firmware driver driving the firmware by the model index information confirmed in the model index processor.
