PURPOSE: A system and method for providing a wireless data communication service are provided to remarkably reduce data transmission delay time and provide a wireless data communication service at a relatively low cost. CONSTITUTION: A communication function unit(210) performs a data communication function according to requests of mobile terminals(101,103) in a state that the communication function unit(210) is connected with or disconnected from the first network. A process unit(220) instructs downloading of specific data from a data providing server(400) in a state that the process unit(220) is connected with the first network, and directly transmits the data, which the mobile terminals(101,103) have requested from the communication function unit(210), to the mobile terminals(101,103) or instructs to transmit the data through the data providing server(400). A data storing unit(230) downloads specific data from the data providing server(400) in a state that the data storing unit(230) is connected with the first network, and stores it, and updates the data at certain intervals.
