SAFETY SYSTEM FOR SUNROOF OF A VEHICLE WITH TWO POSITION SENSORS FOR DETECTING OPENING AND CLOSING STATES OF A SUNROOF AND A NORMAL OPERATION STATE WITHOUT AN OBSTACLE

PURPOSE: A safety system for a sunroof of a vehicle is provided to prevent children from fitting in the sunroof and to restrict the system from damaging by overload of the sunroof by closing the opening sunroof and opening the closing sunroof again by automatically reverse-operating the sunroof if an obstacle exists. CONSTITUTION: A sunroof device for a vehicle comprises a sunroof sliding by a guide rail mounted at a roof panel of the vehicle; a driving motor for supplying driving force to the sunroof to move the sunroof and rotating forward and reverse; a control unit(11) connected with the driving motor to control an operation of the driving motor; and an operating switch(10) coupled with the control unit to open or close the sunroof. A safety system for the sunroof of a vehicle is composed of two position sensors(S1,S2) separated from each other at the predetermined interval at the side of the guide rail and a plurality of sensing units for a sensing source of the position sensors arranged at regular intervals on one end of the sunroof corresponding to the side of the guide rail mounted with the position sensors. The position sensor is coupled with the control unit to input a signal detected from the position sensors to the control unit. Two position sensors are a hall sensor. The sensing unit is a magnetic terminal being a sensing source for the hall sensor.
