PURPOSE: A bi-directional call method of a mobile terminal is provided to heighten a call success rate by automatically connecting a caller and a callee when the callee is changed to a state of being available for call communication from a state that he/she was not available. CONSTITUTION: A caller attempts a call to a callee by using a terminal. If the callee terminal is not available for the call, the caller transmits a bi-directional call request signal to a base station. The base station monitors a call available state of the callee terminal. When the callee terminal becomes available for call communication, the base station calls both the caller terminal and the callee terminal. A call link is formed between the caller terminal and the callee terminal.
