PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for applying liquid crystals, an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), a method for manufacturing the LCD, and an electronic instrument are provided to control a wetting/spreading speed of the liquid crystals applied on a substrate and also increase a throughput of the liquid applying process. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for applying liquid crystals comprises a liquid drop-ejecting unit(10) for applying liquid crystals on a substrate(10), a multi-stage oven(220) for preheating the substrate on which the liquid crystal is to be applied, and a cooling plate(130) for cooling down the substrate on which the liquid crystal has been applied. The apparatus for applying liquid crystals further comprises the first robot arm(125) for automatically transferring the substrate to the liquid drop-ejecting unit from the multi-stage oven and a second robot arm(135) for automatically transferring the substrate to the cooling plate from the liquid drop-ejecting unit.
