PURPOSE: A method for extracting shikonin-containing pigment constituent from Lithospermum erythrorhizon is provided, thereby extracting maximum shikonin-containing pigment constituent which is stable to light and storage, so that it can be used for preparation of various alcohol contents of wine. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting shikonin-containing pigment constituent from Lithospermum erythrorhizon comprises the steps of: inserting dried Lithospermum erythrorhizon into a stirring tank and adding an extraction solvent with alcohol content of 65% to 75% derived from grains into the stirring tank; stirring the mixture at 130 rpm and 40 to 45 deg. C for 12 to 15 hours to extract pigment constituent; and adding 0.15 to 0.25% of citric acid into the extracted pigment constituent and filtering the mixture with a 0.7 to 1.0 micrometer filter, wherein the extraction solvent is distilled fermented alcohols of wheat and barley.
