PURPOSE: A data synchronization method and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to display a state prior to a compressed state of multimedia data by compensating a delay generated from a process of transmitting/receiving multimedia data. CONSTITUTION: Data are received in data units through a network(300). A period for regenerating the data units is produced from time coefficient information included in the data units. A variable threshold value is calculated by using a difference between the period for regenerating the data units and a current period coefficient of a receiver(200). A reception history of the data is stored and a processing method is determined. The data are regenerated according to the processing method.
