摘要

PURPOSE: An optical branching filter having a Brag diffraction grating and an optical communication module using the same are provided to minimize the cross-talk by using the Brag diffraction grating having wave selectivity. CONSTITUTION: An optical branching filter(100) includes first and second waveguides(110,120), an input waveguide(110a), a dummy waveguide(120a), and first and the second output waveguides(110b,120b). The first and the second waveguides are adjacently arranged each other to perform a mode coupling process. The input waveguide, the dummy waveguide, and the first and the second output waveguides are used for receiving and transmitting optical signals. First and second Brag diffraction gratings(111,121) are formed on the first and the second output waveguides in order to minimize cross-talk.
