PURPOSE: A method and an electric double-layer capacitor are provided to increase a capacitance and decrease an equivalent series resistance, by using a carbon nanotube as a conductive material. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step of adjusting the length of a carbon nanotube(160) by ball-milling the carbon nanotube so as to increase a filling density of the carbon nanotube; a step of producing an organic solution containing the carbon nanotube by dispersing the carbon nanotube in an organic solution where a binder is dispersed; a step of producing a slurry by adding an active carbon(150) to the organic solution produced in the previous step; and a step of producing a sheet type electrode by performing a compression and a heat treatment to the slurry by using a roll press.
