PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal having an emergent location report function and a controlling method thereof are provided to report a location of the terminal with a minimum power by an emergent driving program even though a system is off, and to execute the emergent driving program by receiving power from a supplementary power supplier even though a battery power is cut off, thereby confirming a location of a lost terminal. CONSTITUTION: A system unit(1) performs calling, location reporting, and additional functions. A detachable battery(30) supplies a main power for driving the system unit(1). A supplementary power supplier(24) supplies power to the system unit(1) when the main power is not supplied from the battery(30). A power control switch(26) intermits the power supplied to the system unit(1). A power sensor(22) senses whether the power is supplied from the battery(30). A power controller(20) intermits the power supply to the system unit(1).
