PURPOSE: To provide a filter for enlarging effective filtering area and increasing filtrate recovery per unit volume in a cross flow filtering system, and a method for manufacturing the filter. CONSTITUTION: The filter for a cross flow filtering system comprises: a plurality of channels(12) that provide a filtering area and pass axially through the filter; and channels that are passageways through which filtrate is discharged to the outside of the filter. The method for manufacturing a filter(11) comprises: a step(a) of preparing a porous molded body comprising a plurality of axial channels(12) formed inside the filter as the filtering surface, and axial channels(13) for recovering filtrate; and a step(b) of forming channels(31) connected to the axial channels for recovering filtrate and guided to the outer surface(side surface) of the filter. The method for manufacturing a ceramic filter comprises: a step(a) of preparing a slurry in which ceramic powder is uniformly dispersed as a main component; a step(b) of preparing a molded body comprising a plurality of axial channels formed inside the filter as the filtering surface, and axial channels for recovering filtrate; a step(c) of separating a molded body from a mold and drying the molded body; a step(d) of heat treatment of the dried molded body; and a step(e) of forming channels connected to the axial channels for recovering filtrate on the outer surface(side surface) of the molded body.
