PURPOSE: An Internet telephone service system and a method for supplying a call connection sound designated by a receiver are provided to transmit originator speech channel information and receiver speech channel information to a receiver terminal and an originator terminal, respectively, if a call accept message of a receiver and the receiver speech channel information are transmitted, thereby making a call. CONSTITUTION: A call connection sound service subscriber DB(21) stores a call connection sound designated by a receiver and registration information on the receiver. A call connection sound control server(200) receives originator speech channel information and the receiver registration information from an originator terminal, sends a call request to a receiver terminal by using a virtual speech channel, and receives a call accept message and receiver speech channel information. A call connection sound generator(220) receives the originator speech channel information and the call connection sound information, and transmits the designated call connection sound to an originator.
