PURPOSE: An eco-revetment block for steep slope rivers and a retaining wall is provided to protect a slope by constructing an embankment and a retaining wall regardless of an angle of a slope by coupling eco-revetment blocks on a slope in multistage and controlling an interval between upper and lower blocks and to grow plants in a gap between blocks. CONSTITUTION: In the eco-revetment block for steep slope rivers and a retaining wall, a projection is formed to make the front of an eco-revetment block projected, a backing is formed on the base of the projection to prevent the outflow of soils, partition walls are formed on the corner and center of the projection, and a square groove and a round connecting groove are formed on the center and the rear of each partition wall respectively. Wherein the right and left partition walls are coupled in the rugged shape by convex parts and concave parts, and formed to a thickness of one half of the thickness of the central partition wall. The installation method for the eco-revetment block for steep slope rivers and a retaining wall comprises the steps of connecting eco-revetment blocks in line on the ground to secure a space for revetment, inserting a support to a support fixing groove of partition walls if the ground is steep, then installing struts(80) perpendicular to the support from the ground to the upper end, forming a groove to the center of the partition wall to make water flow in or discharge and filling up eco-revetment blocks with gravel, stone, etc.
