PURPOSE: An automatic channel tuning method is provided to automatically tune a broadcasting channel a viewer wants to watch by selecting digital and analog broadcasting channels in both of a general broadcasting region and a cable TV broadcasting region. CONSTITUTION: Automatic tuning is executed on only a previously set broadcasting mode and channel(201). When a broadcasting channel tuning editing key is provided by an input unit, OSD(On Screen Display) for broadcasting channel tuning edition is activated and a menu is output(202). When a selection key is provided from the input unit, a broadcasting mode and channel, selected from the menu and changed, are provided to a memory(205). The changed broadcasting mode and channel are updated on the previously set broadcasting mode and channel(206).
