PURPOSE: A method for transmitting data to originating mobile phones is provided to display appointed image data, such as a text advertisement, an animation advertisement, etc., on the LCD window of each originating mobile phone during call waiting time, when a terminating mobile phone sets up a text/animation advertisement forwarding service. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting data to originating mobile phones comprises a terminating mobile phone(100), many and unspecified originating mobile phones(200), and a mobile service provider(300). The terminating mobile phone(100) transmits image data, such as a text advertisement, an animation advertisement, etc., to a plurality of unspecified originating mobile phones(200) during call waiting time in case that the originating mobile phones(200) call to the terminating mobile phone(100). The mobile service provider(300) deciphers the phone number of the terminating mobile phone(100), transmitted from the originating mobile phones(200). If it is judged that the phone number is a number appointed for an image transmission service, the mobile service provider(300) transmits appointed image data to the originating mobile phones(200) during call waiting time. The mobile service provider(300) comprises a BTS(310), an MSC(320), and a data forwarding control part(330). The data forwarding control part(330) analyzes the information of the terminating mobile phone(100) received from the MSC(320), and transmits relevant image data to associated originating mobile phones(200) if it is judged that the image transmission service is set in the terminating mobile phone(100).
