PURPOSE: Methods for biosynthesis of serotonin derivatives in plants are provided, thereby effectively producing the serotonin derivatives having anticancer, antioxidant and bone formation stimulating activity from plants. CONSTITUTION: The method for biosynthesis of serotonin derivatives in plants comprises adding a serotonin derivative biosynthesis-inducing material into a plant growth medium, soil, or leaf or fruits of plant, wherein the serotonin derivative biosynthesis-inducing material is selected from an aromatic amine compound, a hydroxycinnamic acid compound and a mixture thereof; the aromatic amine compound is selected from tyramine, tryptamine, serotonin, dopamine, noradren aline and octopamine; and the hydroxycinnamic acid compound is selected from coumaric acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, cinnamic acid and sinapic acid. The method for biosynthesis of serotonin derivatives in plants comprises inducing the over-expression of N-(hydroxycinnamoyl) transferase by giving a wound in fruits of plant.
