PURPOSE: A continuously variable valve lift apparatus of an engine is provided to operate the engine optimally by continuously varying the valve lift corresponding to the operation of the engine regardless of a rocker arm with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine comprises a tappet housing(1), a plunger(5) contacted to a stem end(3) of a valve by hydraulic pressure supplied to the tappet housing and installed in the tappet housing, a clearance removing spring(7) mounted between the plunger and the tappet housing to elastically support the plunger to the tappet housing by the stem end of the valve, an oil supply pipe(9) supplying oil to the tappet housing, a check valve(11) installed in the oil supply pipe, an oil discharge pipe(13) discharging oil supplied to the tappet housing, and a valve unit regulating the oil discharge pipe.
