CONSTITUTION: A panel opening and closing device of an air conditioner comprises a cabinet(51), a front panel(52) combined with the front of the cabinet and composed of an air discharge port, an upper and lower driving panel(60) installed in the front panel to open and close the air discharge port, a backward and forward driving panel(70) installed in the front panel to remove the gap between the upper and lower driving panel and the front panel in closing the air discharge port of the upper and lower driving panel, an upper moving unit moving the upper part of the upper and lower driving panel back and forth, a lower moving unit moving the lower part of the upper and lower driving panel back and forth, and a connecting unit(110) connected to the upper moving unit and the lower moving unit.
