METHOD FOR SIZING AIR RECEIVER TANK IN DESALINATION PLANT BY VERIFYING SIZE OF AIR RECEIVER TANK

PURPOSE: To provide a method for sizing an air receiver tank in a desalination plant, which is able to be applied to a desalination project by verifying an adequate size of the air receiver tank. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) identifying an air compressor capacity, a compressed air inlet pressure and an air receiving temperature corresponding to an adequate minimum compressed air supply amount in a desalination plant; (b) identifying a maximum frequency, a pressure switch setting value and a compressed air inlet temperature; (c) after calculating an air receiving volume by using the identified values, comparing the calculated receiving volume with specification of an air receiver tank required by a client; and (d) after verifying whether the air receiving volume corresponds to the required specification, calculating an adequate size of the air receiver tank corresponding to the air receiving volume.
