DEVICE FOR EXPANDING SIDE OF SEAT OF VEHICLE FOR DEPLOYING AIRBAG IN FIXING PASSENGER STABLY WITH PRETENSIONER DESPITE OF MOVING LATERALLY AT COLLISION

PURPOSE: A side expanding device of a seat of a vehicle is provided to contact and support both sides of a passenger stably, and to minimize movement of the passenger by temporarily expanding both sides of the seat forward while operating the pretensioner at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A side expanding device of a seat(10) of a vehicle is composed of air bags(110a,110b) embedded at both sides of the seat and expanded forward at both sides of the seat in supplying compressed air, a compressed air supply unit(120) supplying compressed air to the air bags, and a control unit(130) controlling operation of the compressed air supply unit in actuating the pretensioner at a collision. The air bags are embedded longitudinally at both sides of a seat back(12), and supported by a supporting bar(16) mounted to a seat back frame(14). The compressed air supply unit comprises a compressed air tank(122) storing compressed air, an air supply line(124) connecting the compressed air tank to the air bags, and an air supply valve(126) regulating supply of compressed air according to the control signal from the control unit in the air supply line.
