PURPOSE: An airbag module of a passenger seat for a vehicle is provided to prevent the head or the body of the passenger from being injured in deploying the airbag by supporting the upper body of the passenger quickly and distributing pressure to the main panel temporarily at a collision. CONSTITUTION: An airbag module for a passenger seat of a vehicle is composed of an airbag cushion expanding and deploying by receiving inflow of air, a housing assembly(1) in which the airbag cushion is placed, a bolt assembling part(5) fastening the housing assembly to an instrument panel(3), and an outer tether(2) arranged between the airbag cushion and the instrument panel to delay expansion of the deployment portion partially and temporarily in deploying the airbag cushion. The tear line is formed in the middle of the outer tether and broken with the specific pressure.
