PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing automobile cylinder liner, the method capable of reducing residual stress of a cylinder bore part by increasing a contact area of a cast iron liner and an aluminum alloy covered on the outer circumferential surface of the liner, thereby improving close adhesion between the liner and a cylinder block so that contractile force is evenly applied to the whole cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing automobile cylinder liner comprises the steps of setting a cast iron liner(12) having a certain surface roughness manufactured by centrifugal casting on bore pins of a mold; and ejecting molten aluminum alloy(13) into the inside of the mold at a high pressure, wherein the surface roughness of the cast iron liner is 200 μm or less, and wherein a strain gauge connected to a stress measuring device is attached to the outer circumferential surface of a cylinder bore part(11) of cylinder block(10), that is, an aluminum hoop part to measure stress of the cylinder bore part.
