PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing porous ceramics that comprises aligned sheet-like pores formed in the ceramic matrix and thus shows anisotropy in heat conductivity resulting from structural anisotropy of the pores. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing porous ceramics having aligned sheet-like pores comprises the steps of: mixing spherical thermoplastic polymer powder having a hollow inner space as pore precursor with ceramic powder as matrix material; filling the mixed powder in a mold and heating and pressurizing it to convert the spherical thermoplastic polymer powder into a sheet-like form; maintaining the ceramic body having the sheet-like pore precursor at a temperature of 1,000-1,400 deg.C to fire the pore precursor; and sintering the ceramic body from which the fired pore precursor is removed.
