PURPOSE: A filter cartridge for a water tank of a coffee machine is provided to improve the efficiency by reducing the size of the filter cartridge, and to prevent formation of the bed and compression in the cartridge by forming the long water passage between the inlet and the outlet with the ion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION: A filter cartridge(1) of a water tank for a coffee machine is composed of a housing(2) having an outlet(4) and an inlet(3) in the lower part and containing a filter medium, and plural baffle members(6a,6b,7a,7b,7c,7d) placed in the housing and spaced from each other to increase the length of the water passage between the inlet and the outlet. The housing is composed of an upper housing part(2b) and a lower housing part(2a). The baffle members are fastened alternately in the upper housing part and the lower housing part, and vertically extended. First water passages are formed between the baffle members fixed to the lower housing part and the upper housing part, and second water passages are formed between the baffle members fixed to the upper housing part and the lower housing part.
