DEFROST SYSTEM OF A REFRIGERATOR BY USING A CONDUCTIVE PLATE FOR CONDUCTING HEAT FROM A HEATING AREA OF A DEFROST HEATER INSTALLED AT THE LOWER SIDE OF AN EVAPORATOR TO THE SIDE OF THE EVAPORATOR
PURPOSE: A defrost system of a refrigerator is provided to deice the surface frost layer on the lower and lateral sides of an evaporator and to act as a heat transfer area for cooling by using a conductive plate for transmitting heat generated from a heater pipe. CONSTITUTION: A defrost system of a refrigerator is composed of an evaporator having a fin and a tube; a pipe-shaped defrost heater(210) mounted at the lower side of the evaporator to remove a surface frost layer of the evaporator; and a conductive plate(213) for transmitting heat generated from the defrost heater to the side of the evaporator to defrost the lateral side of the evaporator. A cylinder of one end of the conductive plate is fitted into a peripheral surface of the defrost heater pipe, a central body is integrated with the cylinder a closely contacted with the whole lateral side of the evaporator, and the other end is caulked and fixed with a tube bracket for holing the tube of the evaporator.
