PURPOSE: A cathodic protection system using sacrificial zinc anodes for a vehicle muffler and the vehicle muffler are provided to standardize an internal corrosion environment of the muffler and to corrosion of the muffler by using zinc as the sacrificial anode. CONSTITUTION: A cathodic protection system of a vehicle muffler attaches sacrificial zinc anodes on the inside of the muffler generating the condensed water. The muffler is made from a material selected from one of Al-coated steel and 409L and 436L stainless steels. The sacrificial zinc anodes and the muffler are in the area ratio of 1:10. According to the result of a polarization test of the zinc anode, the sacrificial zinc anodes have constant corrosion potential regardless of the change of temperature and pH in the condensed water corrosion environment.
