METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A PAPR BY USING A WALSH CODE ASSIGNMENT IN A CDMA-2000 SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY WITH REGARDS TO INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF A POWER AMPLIFIER WHILE LOWERING THE INSTALLATION COST OF A BASE STATION SYSTEM
PURPOSE: A method for controlling a PAPR(Peak to Average Power Ratio) by using a Walsh code assignment in a CDMA-2000 system is provided to change an assign method of a Walsh code which distinguishes a channel in a transmitter of a base station system, and to lower a PAPR, thereby increasing the efficiency of a high power amplifier in the transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter of a base station system receives a traffic channel assign request from a control station(S1). The transmitter decides whether previously assigned channels exist(S2). If so, the transmitter decides whether completely used channels exist among the previously assigned channels(S3). If so, the transmitter assigns the lowest Walsh code to a new channel among currently assignable Walsh code sets(S4).
