PURPOSE: A disc clamper and a disc drive adopting the disc clamper are provided to form air flow, operated as an additional disc clamping force, when a disc is rotated so that a disc clamping state is stably maintained and a disc slip or vibration is checked at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a main body, magnetic members, an impeller, and a speed reducer(170). The main body, liftable, is installed at an upper part of a turntable. The magnetic members are installed on both the main body and the turntable, and make both close to each other by the magnetic force. The impeller, installed on an upper face of the main body, flow air from a center to an edge. The speed reducer(170), facing the impeller, reduces a speed of the air flow generated by the impeller.
