PURPOSE: Provided are a method for preparing a supporting structure or a fuel cell supporting structure to reduce the total size of a fuel cell and to improve thermal cycle efficiency and stability, a method for forming a fuel cell, a fuel cell and an apparatus containing the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: A supporting structure or a fuel cell supporting structure(110) is prepared by forming a plurality of holes(150) penetrating a substrate(330); and controlling the shape or size of the holes actively. Preferably the shape of the holes is controlled by forming a hole having a diameter variable according to the length of hole; or forming a hole containing a surface aperture and a smaller aperture inside a substrate, and making the hole to be tapered from the surface aperture to the smaller aperture. Also the shape or size of the hole is controlled by modulating the voltage impressed when the hole is formed.
