PURPOSE: A piston position sensor of a linear compressor is provided to prevent foreign materials from being inserted by combining a base and a cover by supersonic fusion and to restrict the breakdown of the linear compressor by facilitating detection controls about an abnormal state of the piston. CONSTITUTION: A piston position sensor of a linear compressor is composed of a base(10) mounted outside the linear compressor and fixed with a bush(50); a coil mounting unit(13) disposing first and second coils(20a,20b) on the base; a cluster(60) for connecting the first and second coils; a washer(40) inserted between the first and second coils to hold the height of the coil; and a cover(30) for preventing separation of the coil and penetration of foreign materials. The base and the washer are fixed by insert-injection. An anti-rotation unit(51) prevents the bush from being rotated on the base in fastening the bush on the base. An anti-rotation sill(11) is formed on the base to restrict rotation of the washer. The base is curved to prohibit damage of the coil in connecting the coil to the cluster.
