METHOD FOR EXTENDING A CALL WAITING TIME IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, SPECIFICALLY CONCERNED WITH TURNING OFF A BACK LIGHT AND AN LCD AS WELL AS A SOUND/VIBRATING FUNCTION, AND REJECTING A VOICE CALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH A CALL REQUEST

PURPOSE: A method for extending a call waiting time in a mobile communication terminal is provided to turn off a back light and an LCD as well as a sound/vibrating function, and to reject a voice call in accordance with a call request, thereby extending a call waiting time to the maximum with a minimum voltage. CONSTITUTION: If a call waiting time extend mode is selected, a system turns off a back light and an LCD, and decides whether a message is received(SP1-SP3). If so, the system turns on the back light or the LCD to display the message, and if the message is not received, the system decides whether a voice call is requested(SP4,SP5). If so, the system stores a caller's telephone number on a recent call list, and rejects the voice call(SP6,SP7). If an external power is inputted, the system automatically releases the call waiting time extend mode(SP8,SP9).
