PURPOSE: An image processing circuit and an image processing method of a plasma display panel, and an image display device and an image display method using the same plasma display panel are provided to prevent previously generation of false contour irrespective of a changing direction of a light-emitting scheme. CONSTITUTION: A comparison circuit(20) is used for receiving a first image signal and a second image signal delayed as much as a predetermined field to output selectively the first and second motion detection results by comparing each signal level of the first and the second image signals with each other. The first conversion circuit(40) is used for receiving the first image signal, converting a lighting pattern according to the first motion detection result, setting a predetermined flag, and the third image signal delayed as much as a predetermined field. The second conversion circuit(80) is used for receiving the third image signal and converting a lighting pattern according to the second motion detection result and the flag of the third image signal.
