CONDENSER FOR REPRESSING THE INCREASE OF STEAM PRESSURE LOSS AND STAY OF NONCONDENSABLE GAS

PURPOSE: A condenser is provided to limit the flow direction of steam toward a noncondensable gas extracting duct and to suppress short-pass that steam flows directly to the noncondensable gas extracting duct by installing a steam flow-prevention plate. CONSTITUTION: A portion at which condenser tubes of upper and lower tube bundles(51,52) are arranged has a U-shaped vertical section perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the upper and lower tube bundles. A noncondensable gas extracting duct(11) is disposed at a U-shaped central joint portion of the upper tube bundle through which the circulating water flows first. A steam flow-prevention plate(53,54) is installed at left and right sides of the noncondensable gas extracting duct in a portion where the condenser tubes between the upper and lower tube bundles are not arranged.
