摘要

PURPOSE: A light receiving/emitting electronic component is provided to configure an IrDA(Infrared Data Association) module having an additional remote control transmission function, which comprises a conversion switch for controlling a driving current of a light emitting element and an interface for easily satisfying external specifications. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(23) is made from glass epoxy resin, and is formed with predetermined wiring patterns on a surface. Plural connection terminals(33) are formed on inner sides of grooves extended in thickness direction of the substrate(23). The connection terminals(33) are connected to the wiring patterns. A light emitting lens(31) is located on a side opposed to an LED(22), while a light receiving lens(32) is formed on a side opposed to a photo diode(20). The photo diode(20) is mounted on the substrate(23), and is connected with the wiring patterns. A driving element(21) controls a transceiving operation by the LED(22) and the photo diode(20), is connected with the wiring patterns, and is coupled with the LED(22) and the photo diode(20).
