ADAPTIVE DEINTERLACING METHOD BY USING PHASE CORRECTING FIELD AND APPARATUS THEREOF, AND RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING RECORDED PROGRAM FOR REALIZING THE SAME, PARTICULARLY REGARDING TO ACCURATELY DETECTING MOTION INFORMATION AND MINIMIZING SERRATION AFTER DEINTERLACING
PURPOSE: An adaptive deinterlacing method by using a phase correcting field and an apparatus thereof, and a recording medium having a recorded program for realizing the same are provided to accurately detect motion information by using a phase correcting field correcting a phase of the corresponding field to be inserted to convert an inputted interlace image signal into a progressive signal, and minimize serration after deinterlacing. CONSTITUTION: A phase correcting unit(330) compensates a phase of a (k)th field of an inputted interlace image signal as much as 1 line frequency for generating a phase-corrected (k)th field. A first motion vector calculating unit(340) calculates a first motion vector between the phase-corrected (k)th field and a (k-1)th field of the interlace image signal. A second motion vector calculating unit(350) calculates a second motion vector between the (k-1)th field and a (k+1)th field of the interlace image signal. An image converting unit judges whether an inputted image moves, based on the first motion vector and the second motion vector, and generates a (k)th progressive frame based on a result of the judgement and the (k)th field.
