PURPOSE: To provide a ladle-placing device which prevents lugs of ladle from being caught on side supports by expanding the lug receiving parts, thereby receiving the lugs in the lug receiving parts and stably places the ladle on the device by moving the ladle to a wanted central part of the device by the side supports and rolls. CONSTITUTION: A ladle-placing device having adjustable lug receiving parts comprises a body a central portion of which is empty in a height direction to receive a ladle; a pair of lug receiving parts(14) mounted on both sides of the body with being oppositely directed to each other to receive lugs of the ladle; side supports(18) mounted such that the side supports are movable along length of the lug receiving parts; and driving means for moving the side supports, wherein the lug receiving parts comprise a plural rolls(16) on a part contacted with the lugs, wherein the side support driving means are cylinders(20), and wherein the device further comprises guides(26) disposed along the lug receiving parts to guide movements of the side supports.
