PURPOSE: A multi-domain LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve the response speed of liquid crystal molecules while securing total transmissivity of the LCD by optimizing the interval and width of domain controllers. CONSTITUTION: A multi-domain LCD includes the first insulating substrate, the first signal line(131) formed on the first insulating substrate, the second signal line(171) formed on the first insulating substrate to intersect the first signal line, a pixel electrode(190) formed in a pixel region disposed at the intersection of the first and second signal lines, and a thin film transistor connected to the first signal line, the second signal line and the pixel electrode. The multi-domain LCD further includes the second insulating substrate opposite to the first insulating substrate, a common electrode formed on the second insulating substrate, a liquid crystal layer formed between the first and second insulating substrates, and a plurality of domain controllers(191,192,193) that are formed on at least one of the first and second insulating substrates and split liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer into a plurality of domains in the pixel region. The domain controllers are arranged at an interval of 12 to 20 micrometer.
