PURPOSE: A data receiving device and method in a mobile communication system using an adaptive antenna array are provided to generate a weight by combining a CM(Constant Modulus) method with a DD(Decision Directed) method, so that the weight can have a minimum error value, thereby creating an exact receiving beam. CONSTITUTION: A despreader(310) receives a signal to despread the received signal, and generates a despreading signal. A signal processor(330) calculates an error value of the received signal by combining the first method with the second method after inputting the despreading signal, calculates a weight step value so as to correspond to the calculated error value, and calculates a weight for creating a receiving beam with the calculated error value and the weight step value. A receiving beam generator(320) creates the receiving beam by using the calculated weight.
