PURPOSE: A handoff method of a mobile communication system is provided to be determined by additionally using wireless network information based on a current position, a destination, and a predicted mobile path of a terminal, and to command the terminal to carry out the determined handoff method, thereby reducing the frequency of handoff while satisfying a speech quality. CONSTITUTION: A system obtains position information and predicted mobile path information on a terminal(S1). The system calculates a predicted passing wireless network/base station in accordance with a predicted mobile path(S2). The system determines an optimum handoff path, a method, and a time by using wireless network information(S3). The system restricts a handoff function to other system/base station/channel while guiding a call up to a wireless network/base station/channel to stably supply a service(S4). The system hands off an optimum system with a determined handoff method(S5), and connects the call up to a final destination(S6).
