PURPOSE: A method and a device for supplying a uplink packet data service by using a uplink dedicated channel in an asynchronous WCDMA communication system are provided to select a multiplexing method in consideration of channel situations of a terminal, thereby increasing the entire performance of an E-DCH(Dedicated Channel for E) by using the selected multiplexing method. CONSTITUTION: An SRNC sets the entire number of E-DCHs and DCHs(1202), and sets TFSs(Transport Format Sets) and TFIs(Transport Format Indicators) for the set E-DCHs and the DCHs(1204). The SRNC decides whether channels inputted to a loop are the E-DCHs(1206). If so, the SRNC sets TFs(Transport Formats) for the E-DCHs, and determines TFS-related information by each TF(1214). If the size and the number of transmission blocks for the E-DCHs are determined, the SRNC sets the TFSs and the TFIs(1218,1220). The SRNC transmits information related to the set TFSs to a node B and a terminal.
