PURPOSE: A safety system for a door window of a vehicle is provided to prevent injuries of passengers by deforming an elastic member installed on the outer peripheral surface of the door window although the passengers are inserted between the door window and a door frame in lifting the door window. CONSTITUTION: In a door window(150) embedded and installed in a door frame(130) of a vehicle to ascend or descend by an operation of a window switch, a safety system for the door window has an elastic member(155) installed on the outer peripheral surface of the door window that is contacted with the door frame. A portion of the elastic member is adhered with covering the outer peripheral surface of the door window. A groove(133) into which an outer peripheral surface of the elastic member is inserted is formed at the door frame.
