ELECTRIC LOWER TILT-TYPE STEERING COLUMN HAVING A LOWER SUPPORT STRUCTURE OF A LINK STRUCTURE FOR FIRMLY SUPPORTING THE STEERING COLUMN AND REINFORCING STIFFNESS BY APPLYING A PREDETERMINED LINK TO THE LOWER SUPPORT STRUCTURE
PURPOSE: An electric lower tilt-type steering column having a lower support structure of a link structure is provided to firmly hold the steering column and to absorb axial displacement of the steering column for a tilt motion of the steering column by supporting the lower part with a link. CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower parts of an electric lower tilt-type steering column are supported by a mounting bracket(10) fixed and installed at a vehicle body. The steering column is tilted about a lower support spot. The lower part of the steering column is supported by a link member(15), which is disposed rotatively to the mounting bracket and connected rotatively to a steering column jacket(30) by hinges(12,13). The steering column is tilted and moved axially because a tilt bracket(20) is fixed to the mounting bracket and rotated to tilt the steering column about the hinge.
