METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING CRASH CONDITION OF VEHICLES FOR SATISFYING RTTF REQUIRED FOR INCLINATION CRASH TEST AND OFFSET DEFORMABLE BARRIER TEST

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating a crash condition of vehicles is provided to satisfy an RTTF required for an inclination crash test and an offset deformable barrier test on the basis of a single point sensing manner without using a front G-sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for discriminating a crash condition of vehicles is carried out in order to satisfy an RFFT. The method is performed by using a front air bag and an air bag controlling unit. The air bag controlling unit includes an accelerometer for measuring a vertical direction acceleration and a horizontal direction acceleration of a vehicle. A crash algorithm with respect to the front air bag is prepared based on the vertical direction acceleration and the horizontal direction acceleration. The crash algorithm is operated only when the vertical direction acceleration is higher than the horizontal direction acceleration.
