SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING RETURN MAIL BY USING BAR CODE APPLICATION TECHNIQUE BY REDUCING THE RATE OF RETURN MAIL

PURPOSE: A return mail processing system using bar code application technique and a method thereof are provided to treat return mail quickly by printing the information collecting bar code and reading information of a recipient with scanning the information collecting bar code on the return mail. CONSTITUTION: A return mail processing system comprises a bar code reading unit(310) reading the specific bar code of return mail from a distributing post office, a data input unit(320) transmitting the key signal for performing the specific operation or inputting specific data, a mail processing server connecting to the communication network, a bar code printing unit, the bar code reading unit and the data input unit, interchanging data with the communication network, processing data and information of mail, managing data and controlling the components, delivery mail information database(340) communicated with the mail processing server to construct database of delivery mail information and to transmit data required from the mail processing server, and return mail information database(350) communicated with the mail processing server to construct database of return mail information and to apply data required from the mail processing server.
