PURPOSE: A drying step control method of a drum-type washing machine is provided to increase drying efficiency of the washing machine and to shorten a time for drying by uniformly mixing the laundry through dewatering periodically in a low speed during the drying step. CONSTITUTION: A drum-type washing machine combined with a dryer comprises a cabinet; a cylindrical tub installed in the cabinet; a drum installed to rotating about a horizontal driving shaft in the tub; a motor rotationally moving around the driving shaft of the drum; a circulating duct of which both ends are connected with the tub at the outside of the tub to form an air circulation path; a blowing fan installed in the circulating duct to force air therein sent; a heater installed in the circulation to heat circulating air; a condensation member compressing air of high temperature and high humidity sucked into the circulating duct from the tub; and a tub temperature sensor and a duct temperature sensor installed to measure a temperature in the tub and in the circulating duct, respectively. A drying step control method includes a first stage(S1) circulating high temperature air through the tub and the circulating duct by driving the blowing fan and the heater; a second stage(S2) drying the laundry by driving the motor in a predetermined low speed rotation; and a third stage(S3) periodically dewatering in a low speed of at least 200 rpm during the whole drying step.
