PURPOSE: A nitride-based light emitting device is provided to increase wire bonding efficiency and yield in packaging a light emitting device by improving an ohmic contact characteristic with a p-type clad layer. CONSTITUTION: A nitride-based light emitting device has a light emitting layer between an n-type clad layer and a p-type clad layer(20). A reflection layer(40) reflects the light emitted from the light emitting layer. At least one metal layer(30) is formed between the reflection layer and the p-type clad layer. The metal layer includes at least one of the first group of metals including zinc, indium and tin.
