PURPOSE: An automatic incoming conversion device of telematics and a method thereof are provided to perform an automatic incoming conversion between a telematics terminal and a driver's terminal according to an operation of a car, so that a driver can receive a call from the telemetics terminal even though the driver's terminal is separated from a hands-free jack. CONSTITUTION: An ignition switch(10) detects a contact point selection of an ignition key. A door lock detecting unit(20) detects information on door opening/closing according to getting on/off a car. A terminal connection detecting unit(30) detects whether a driver's terminal is connected with a hands-free jack. An ECU(40) analyzes each detected signal, and extracts information on whether a car is driven in a state of connecting the driver's terminal with the hands-free jack, or on whether a driver leaves a car with the driver's terminal separated from the hands-free jack. A communication control unit(50) performs an incoming conversion from the driver's terminal to a telematics terminal if the driver's mobile terminal is connected with the hands-free jack.
