PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling a call of telematics terminal are provided to automatically convert the telematics terminal to hands free mode when a user rides a vehicle during calling mobile communication terminal.;CONSTITUTION: Current status information of a mobile terminal is requested to a mobile terminal(S12). A controller determines a call status of the mobile terminal(S13). If the mobile terminal is calling, the controller generates notification information which notifies that telematics terminal will automatically convert to hands free mode(S14).
