PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting mites is provided, which apparatus has simple structure and high detecting accuracy, continuously detects the mites, and accurately detects the number of mites by comparing the mite images before and after mite capturing. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for detecting mites comprises a capturing/photographing means which captures mites in the dust and photographs the captured mites; an image signal storage portion which receives images from the capturing/photographing means through an image signal receiving portion and stores them; a mite image memory portion which stores images of mites in advance; an image comparing/counting means which compares the images from the image signal storage portion and mite image memory portion to detect and count the mites in the images; and a displaying portion which displays the number of mites, wherein the capturing/photographing means comprises a mite inducing portion(210) with a plurality of supporting bars(200) in an inhalation pipe(120), a weather vane(220) in front of the mite inducing portion(210), a mite capturing portion(230) in the rear of the mite inducing portion(210), and a camera(240) in the mite inducing portion(210).
